Contested Elections

The Statements of Persons Nominated for the elections to be held on 1 May 2025 have been published by North Northamptonshire Council.  I have attached a copy for you to view.

Twywell Parish Council has nine nominations for seven seats, therefore Twywell will be having a contested election.  All villagers will be encouraged to vote on 1st May 2025 at McQueen House. It's your chance to pick who you would like to represent Twywell.

The election process is run entirely by North Northamptonshire Council and the clerk to Twywell Parish Council has no formal or official role with this process.

Please look at 'Requirements to vote' tab as this gives you information on 'photo' ID and registering to vote.

Councillor Resignation

Twywell Parish Councillors who have decided not to stand for the May 2025 Elections will need to complete the Councillor's resignation form, and previous Twywell Parish Councillors who are not successful at the May Elections will also need to complete the form.  This form needs to be returned to the clerk (as soon as possible) after May 1st 2025, either by hand delivery, post or email.

New Council

All councillors, regardless of whether they have served in the previous term, must complete:

Declaration of Acceptance of Office (at or before the first meeting after the election) - Supplied by the Clerk

Register of Interests (Within 28 days of taking up office) - Supplied by the Clerk

Election Expense Claims (even if £0!)
